Children's and Youth Programs
The Children's Mite - Each week
the children will turn in a small cardboard bank during worship with their
version of the "widow's mite." The children come to know their
gifts are significant and appreciated. Every six months we take all that
has been collected and make a gift to Loaves and Fishes of Alamance
County. The children will deliver the check personally so that they can
see how their offerings work to help feed, clothe, and house those of less
fortune. We will be visiting
Loaves and Fishes on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. to assist with food
sorting and preparation of donations for families in need. Please contact Kelly if interested in
going.
"All Blessed" Children's Church - "And he took the children in his arms... and blessed them." (Mark 10:16) Knowing that Jesus blessed "all" the children, our children's church program aims to instill a sense of worth within each child and a recognition of the worth of others. Through Scripture, prayer, laughter, and play we aim to create an environment where children can seek, ask questions, grow and engage the sacred process of becoming.
Parents Night Out - This program aims to make a contribution to the maintaining of happy and healthy families. Scheduled events give our children and youth a safe and fun place to go while parents enjoy a night out on the town.
"Pathfinders" Youth Program - With pure hearts and open minds our youth can help make a better world. A Sunday night program for ages 2-18 involves the development of the mind, body and spirit. Age appropriate Bible study, games and mission efforts seek to develop faithful disciples of Christ.
